Argentina will once again participate in this major international event in the Netherlands at the end of November. Fifteen wineries from Mendoza and San Juan will take part in the fair, reaffirming Argentina’s position as a strategic supplier to major global markets.
Grouped under the umbrella of the Argentine Bulk Wine Chamber, the companies participating in this event seek to enhance their agreements with producers, buyers and industry leaders from over 70 countries. The WBWE not only functions as a business platform, but also as an academic forum, with international tastings and conferences that anticipate the trends driving the global wine market.

Argentina will showcase the diversity and quality of its bulk wines. The portfolio includes emblematic varietals such as Malbec and Torrontés, alongside others in high international demand, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Chardonnay, along with generic wines that are now gaining importance due to their international competitiveness. This portfolio is increasingly aligned with global demands and is supported by sustainability, organic practices, and fair-trade certifications, which strengthen buyer confidence and consolidate Argentina’s reputation as a reliable long-term supplier of bulk wines.
The fair, as described by exporters
Enrique Verazay, the manager of KINETA S.A., which participates in the fair every year and is associated with the Chamber, said: ‘We are convinced of the importance of being present at the WBWE, as we consider it crucial to maintain close ties with our existing commercial partners and potential new importers. Without a doubt, the support of the Argentine Bulk Wines Chamber in difficult times such as these allows us to join forces and make joint promotion possible.’.
Bodega Kineta is a prime example of a winery that produces quality wines in large volumes. In 2023, it won two gold and two silver medals at the International Bulk Wine Competition (IBWC), the world’s most important bulk wine quality competition.
Gerardo Meli of Bodega Héctor Meli, whose products mainly target niche segments (premium organic wines), commented that this meeting is very important for understanding global price trends. “In our operations, we are seeing greater fluctuations in prices than in volumes,” he warned. “It is a more competitive world than in previous years and we must understand where we stand.”.
He added that, fortunately, raw materials in Argentina have returned to international values due to a good harvest, even though prices are high at the industrial level. The winemaker said that Argentina will quickly become a very attractive supplier once macro- and microeconomic conditions stabilize, due to the quality of its products.
Meanwhile, the Argentine Bulk Wine Chamber highlighted that the participation of Argentine wineries in the WBWE allows them to increase their international visibility, open up new commercial destinations and showcase certifications that are increasingly valued by large buyers.
“The fair is a unique opportunity for Argentina to showcase its potential and reaffirm the place of our wineries as suppliers of quality and sustainable wines,” they concluded.

More About the WBWE
The World Bulk Wine Exhibition (WBWE) in Amsterdam is an essential event in the annual sales calendar for producers and buyers of bulk wines and spirits from around the world.
The WBWE in Amsterdam offers unparalleled opportunities to diversify sales and discover new market gems. It is also recognized as a benchmark for market trends and as the place where new brands and business models in the wine and spirits industry emerge.

While the central focus of the fair is business rounds, the conference programme also plays a prominent role, addressing strategic issues such as sustainability and logistics, as well as the importance of NOLO wines (low or no alcohol content), and other current challenges. These exchange spaces also allow exporting wineries to access first-hand information on regulations and technological innovations, providing them with the tools they need to design more competitive and sustainable export strategies.
Since 2024, WBWE has been part of the Vinexposium Group. This has allowed it to generate synergies with other prestigious international events, such as Wine Paris and the upcoming Vinexpo Explorer Mendoza. The latter will be held in Argentina for the first time, from 6 to 9 October, in Mendoza, the country’s main wine-producing province. This will be made possible thanks to the strategic role of ProMendoza, which facilitated the arrival of this global event, opening new business opportunities and further strengthening the international profile of Argentine wine.
